last year kicked my ass

In March 2023, I was in the middle of a launch for my high ticket coaching program, Yay for 100Kβ„’ when...

...I decided to cancel the launch 😲

Reader, this was simultaneously one of the hardest and easiest things I've ever done.

Have you ever felt something in your bones?

Something that didn't make a lot (if any) logical sense but that you KNEW you needed to do?

That's what happened to me.

What I didn't realize at the time is that I was having an epiphany about the kind of business I want to build.

You see, I had unintentionally built a business doing work I love...

...that required me to work full time in order to function. Eesh!

I realized that I couldn't keep it up.

There was NO WAY for me to continue growing my high-ticket program with a 6-month old at home. Both required so much energy and attention from me.

The baby won lol πŸ‘ΆπŸ»

When I cancelled my launch, it sent me on a year-long journey to figure out my new business model.

During that time, my revenue fell. Then I had a miscarriage.

It was a lot.

Work-wise I kept testing out different offers and models but none of them felt right. (Do you remember my short lived e-commerce shop, the Yay for Business shop?)

I'm a mentally tough entrepreneur, goddamnit, but I was working my ass off and making very little progress!

And while ultimately I wound up making the same amount of money in 2023 as in 2022, I had fallen into a scarcity trap.

The longer this went on, the more normal it felt.

I'm not proud to admit this but...

...I accepted paying myself a lower salary.

...I let debt sit on my credit card.

During The CEO Retreat in September, I snapped out of it.

The environment, the mindset work, the conversations with other entrepreneurs...it was what I needed to decide "enough is enough".

After that retreat I finally made key decisions about my business model and tough decisions about my finances (ones I had been avoiding!)

I became a solopreneur for the first time in a DECADE.

I went balls to the wall with marketing in January and broke every system in my business so that I could make a declaration to the universe that I wasn't going to sit in scarcity anymore.

2023 was one of the hardest years of my life-- a "Jedi training year" as I like to call them.

At times, it felt like going backwards, but I was simply taking a step back to rebuild the foundations for my business to make sales seamlessly.

βœ… The mindset work I did during this time made me realize what I really wanted, how much money I wanted to make, and how to turn my so-called obstacles into opportunities.

βœ… The offers I'm selling are packaged to be irresistible to my ideal clients.

βœ… My sales funnels are there to ensure that I can make sales any time of day (often I wake up to notifications of new sales!)

And now my job is to grow!!

The Become a Sales Magnet LIVE event on May 23 is all about snapping out of a rut so you can align your energy + actions with your revenue goal for 2024.

⭐️ It's a special day for you to focus on what matters most in achieving your goals for this year-- a day to step out of the day-to-day work to work ON your business.⭐️

It's a day for me to share my best tips + tricks LIVE before I give birth to baby #2 (BTW It's no coincidence that I found out I was pregnant right after getting home from The CEO Retreat. THAT is the power of an energetic shift!)

You're already invited to join me!

Reader, I feel really invigorated to share a message I don't see enough women entrepreneurs talking about: Sales as activism. Sales as resistance. Sales as the antidote to what is going on in the world. As Kamala Harris put it, "This is not a time to throw up our hands. This is a time to roll up our sleeves." πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ The problem, as I see it is this: As women, we're playing too damn small. Reader, money is power. For good or for bad we live in a capitalist society and MONEY is the currency of...

Reader, This weekend I attended Alex Cattoni's Posse Fest Live. To be honest, I'm new to Alex's community. The big reason I said yes to attending this event is because it's local. No plane rides! Sleep in my own bed! Yay! I was excited to see a couple of my lovely bad ass online business friends who were speaking at the event who I hadn't seen since before the pandemic. Specifically, Jordan Gill and Vanessa Lau. I was excited to FINALLY meet Laura Belgray in person. But this event turned out...
