top takeaways from Posse Fest!

Reader,

This weekend I attended Alex Cattoni's Posse Fest Live.

To be honest, I'm new to Alex's community.

The big reason I said yes to attending this event is because it's local.

No plane rides!

Sleep in my own bed!

Yay!

I was excited to see a couple of my lovely bad ass online business friends who were speaking at the event who I hadn't seen since before the pandemic. Specifically, Jordan Gill and Vanessa Lau.

I was excited to FINALLY meet Laura Belgray in person.

But this event turned out to be one of the best produced events I've ever attended (and I've been to A LOT OF EVENTS).

I got to catch up with local friends like Audrey Kwan + Ali Anderson.

And I finally got to chat face-to-face with the likes of Jaime Bell of Contracts Market, Caley Dimmock, Pearl Cici, and so many others!

⬆️ You probably recognize many of the names I mentioned, but not..go follow them. These women are all ICONIC.

Reader, I took so many notes πŸ˜…

(And the event isn't even over yet! Tomorrow is the VIP Mastermind Day.)

So, in the spirit of what Laura Belgray shared about writing emails that people love to read, I thought it'd be fun to share my biggest takeaways in bite sized snacks for you to enjoy.

πŸ’₯ Remembering the Future - Giovanni Marisico shared an eye-opening exercise where we gave a name to the version of us 10 years from now who has already achieved all of our dreams. Then, he taught us to make decisions as them. Your future self is your greatest mentor.

I had a major aha during this exercise about my big mission that I'm excited to start playing with more!

πŸ’₯ Text 3-5 people who you want to sell to and ask them what they'd pay you for. - This nugget came from the likes of Danielle LaPorte (who I swear was making eye contact with me directly as she spoke 😍).

πŸ’₯ There are 4 forces changing the marketing landscape. Alex Cattoni talked about the fact that (1) Mistrust is on the rise (2) Linear marketing is dead (3) Buying cycles are longer and (4) Social is the new search engine.

πŸ’₯There are 3 "offers" working really well on Meta Ads right now: Pre-sell articles, low dollar offers, and simple lead magnets. (This is a severe over-simplification from Molly Pittman-- the most genius ads expert I've ever encountered. Seriously, her agency runs ads for people at minimum $500K ads spend...per month 😱🀯).

πŸ’₯ Let your audience "choose their own adventure". This tip comes straight from Jordan Gill. How can you have your audience self-select which messaging they get from you based on their unique desires?

There's so much more, Reader... but I'm a dead woman walking and I still have a whole day left of learning!

I'll be sharing bts on my Instagram stories!

Tell me - do you like this kind of informal email sharing my insights from the event? It's kind of freeing to write to you in a more raw + real way that's not planned in advance so I'll probably do it more whether you like it or not πŸ˜‰ 😁

Reader, I feel really invigorated to share a message I don't see enough women entrepreneurs talking about: Sales as activism. Sales as resistance. Sales as the antidote to what is going on in the world. As Kamala Harris put it, "This is not a time to throw up our hands. This is a time to roll up our sleeves." πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ The problem, as I see it is this: As women, we're playing too damn small. Reader, money is power. For good or for bad we live in a capitalist society and MONEY is the currency of...

In March 2023, I was in the middle of a launch for my high ticket coaching program, Yay for 100Kβ„’ when... ...I decided to cancel the launch 😲 Reader, this was simultaneously one of the hardest and easiest things I've ever done. Have you ever felt something in your bones? Something that didn't make a lot (if any) logical sense but that you KNEW you needed to do? That's what happened to me. Masterminding with some business friends in March 2023...I had no idea what I was in for! What I didn't...
